JESSE'S BASEBALL CAREER

WHEN THE HARD WORK PAYS OFF...

Jesse had his debut at the Major League level with the Twins in August of 2004.  He continued his Major League career with the Twins through the 2010 season.

He was elected to the All-Star game that July but due to a shoulder injury was unable to play.  Jesse was then traded to the Tampa Bay Rays to finish out the remainder of his contract but was unable to pitch for them.  He had shoulder surgery (large bicep tenodesis) in October of that year and then signed with the Houston Astros.  He worked hard to rehab his shoulder but was unable to pitch.  He gave it one more shot as the White Sox signed him to a minor league contract in 2015 in hopes of getting him back in their bullpen for the season.  He continued to make progress  but his shoulder would not cooperate and allow him to pitch at the level he was at prior to his surgery.  He now occupies his time by being at home with his wife and kiddos, helping to coach his boys in Little League Baseball, attending charity events and also perfecting his golf game!

He then signed a 3 year contract with the rival Chicago White Sox.  His last season with the Sox, Jesse went 2-3 with 19 holds and a 0.74 ERA, striking out 46 in 36.2 innings.
